BCC Africa were thrilled with the result of the Open Garden on Saturday Oct 10. A crowd of over 600 attended and we raised over $11,500. The weather held out although it was a bit wet underfoot. You could tell the real gardeners – the ones arriving in gumboots. A huge thanks to those who attended and the many volunteers.
Our latest newsletter (Spring 2020) tells how we have been able to support Bethlehem Community Centre in Kenya during the COVID crisis. Also there are some lovely notes of appreciation from those older members we were able to assist with food and rent.
Our final fundraiser for 2020 is High Tea by the Sea at Freedom Close Carlton on Sunday Nov 29. 10- 4. Keep an eye out for the flyer in coming weeks.
