We also have some surprise entertainment!
Thanks all who turned up to enjoy David Willersdorf in concert. He played all his own songs and gave the stories with each. Beautiful to listen to and very entertaining. We raised about $1500 for the children of Bethlehem Community Centre in Kenya.
Open Garden Success and upcoming concert
Open Garden was an outstanding success.
October 6th was a day to remember. 630 people visited the amazing garden
of Maree and Pam Johnston in Otago Bay. They were welcomed in by about
15 enthusiastic Ukulele players, treated to a delightful Devonshire Tea,
helped raise over $12,500 for BCC Afica and delighted in exploring the
2.5 acres of garden. Many went home with plants from the plant stall and
trinkets from the trade table. Thank you to all those who visited on the
day, to all the volunteers and especially to Pam and Maree for sharing
their garden.
